An Orange County teen has been arrested following an armed robbery in Locust Grove.
On Saturday, July 12, Orange County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a report of a robbery in Lake of the Woods. Through an investigation, deputies determined a 16-year-old resident of Lake of the Woods had arranged to purchase items from acquaintances. Upon meeting with the other juveniles, the suspect brandished what appeared to be a firearm and took the items without payment. The gun was later identified as a BB gun.
According to law enforcement, the deputies had prior knowledge of the suspect who was later located and taken into custody.
