A longtime Gordonsville resident was honored last week.
During the Gordonsville Town Council meeting, Timothy “Tim” Ferguson was honored with a resolution of appreciation for his service. Ferguson has served the town in a varied capacity for more than two decades.
Ferguson was a councilmember for three years, from 1996 to 1999, and also served as a member of the town’s planning commission and board of zoning appeals. While on the commission, he served many years as chairman and was the secretary for the board of zoning appeals.
“Tim deeply cares for the town and its citizens, striving daily to ensure the most efficient use of resources for the betterment of the Gordonsville community and through his strong leadership, personal conviction and professionalism has exemplified his position as council member and his tenure on the Gordonsville Planning Commission and town board of zoning appeals,” stated the town council via the resolution.
The council expressed its appreciation for Ferguson’s dedicated service. He has recently retired from his roles on the town’s boards and committees.
