The team beat Rappahannock on the road 1-0 May 22, but fell to Clarke 11-4 May 23. The team was scheduled to visit Strasburg Wednesday after presstime in the first round of the district tournament.
Girls Soccer
The girls beat Rappahannock May 22, 8-0 on the road. The team was scheduled to visit Clarke in the district tournament Wednesday after presstime.
Boys Soccer
The team beat Rappahannock May 22, 3-1, but fell to Clarke May 23, 3-0. The team was scheduled to host Page in the district tournament Wednesday after presstime.
Track
The Mountaineers competed in the Bull Run District Championship May 21.
For the boys, Evan Roberts finished second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:29.76. De’Avis Porter finished second in the discus with a distance of 128-6.
For the girls, Victoria Weakley finished second in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 54.19. The girls 4×800 relay team finished third with a time of 11:17.36.
The Region 2B Championship was scheduled for Wednesday after presstime. The VHSL Class 2 State Championship is June 6 in Harrisonburg.
