A town hall will be held this week in Madison County.
As part of the regularly scheduled board meeting, supervisors will host a town hall meeting Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. at 414 N. Main Street. The regular meeting will begin at 4 p.m.
The purpose of the town hall is to discuss economic development in the county. The county’s economic development committee has been evaluating various options for broadening the tax base and will share information regarding its research.
Committee member and county supervisor Jim Jewett said the committee hopes to also gain input from those in attendance.
Following the economic development portion of the meeting, the board will take questions on any topic.
